Fall 2012

It's been a while since we've posted but only because we've been so busy!  We've played lots of great gigs over the last while including weddings at great Kingston venues like Renaissance, the new Fort Henry Discovery Centre, The Vimy Officer's Mess and many churches around town.  We've also had the pleasure of playing in a beautiful home for The Kingston Symphony House Tour and for many private parties.

We've had a change in personnel which has been bittersweet.  Our beloved cellist Liz Tremblay moved to Calgary at the end of the summer.  Although we miss her terribly, we are pleased to welcome Jeff Hamacher to The Limestone Trio.  We've also been working on a website which we will be launching in late January 2013.  Speaking of which, what do you think of our new logo?

In the meantime, you can catch us playing a short set for The Kingston Arts Council and The Grand Theatre's 50th Anniversary celebration on Monday, November 12th.  We'll be performing at 7:30pm for half an hour.  You can learn more about the event here.

Whisky Cruise

Friday night we had a wonderful cruise along the river whilst David Noman instructed everyone on "Nosing the Whisky". We provided music to complement the atmosphere. Talking of atmosphere there was quite the aroma of peat bogs around..I thought I was in the Highlands and kept checking to see if I was wearing my hiking boots. A great time was had by all, imspite of the mild chop on the water. Would definately recommend this as a fun evening for anyone mildy interested in Scotch Whisky, especially those who want to help support the Kingston Symphony Orchestra at the same time.
